Hillsboro Pushes Ahead on Downtown Streets and Infrastructure Rebuild

The City of Hillsboro’s Public Works department is in the midst of rebuilding streets and infrastructure across its downtown corridor, part of a broader slate of capital projects the city is tracking through an interactive construction map. The work spans public-works infrastructure upgrades alongside separate planning-and-development efforts aimed at revitalizing existing business and neighborhood districts.

Hillsboro is a market NWCN hasn’t spent much time on directly, but it’s a useful counterpoint to the higher-profile Portland and Puget Sound infrastructure stories we’ve covered — a mid-sized Washington County city working through its own capital-project backlog at a smaller scale, with its own contracting opportunities for regional firms.
