Lloyd Center Is Getting a 67,000 SF Live Music and Events Venue — Under Construction Now

A major new entertainment venue is taking shape inside Portland’s Lloyd Center, with a two-story concert and event space currently under construction after receiving Design Commission approval in 2024. The flexible-capacity venue — sized for 2,000 to 4,250 attendees — spans approximately 67,000 square feet and will include a main event space, a mezzanine, and supporting spaces, co-developed by Monqui Presents and AEG Presents and designed by Works Progress Architecture. The project is part of a broader repositioning of the Lloyd Center mall, which has been evolving away from traditional retail toward entertainment, food, and community uses as the retail landscape continues to shift. For interior and commercial finish contractors in the Portland metro, the Lloyd Center transformation represents a growing pipeline of adaptive reuse and entertainment construction work.
